Hey there! My name is Mariko and I’m a Baton Rouge wedding photographer serving Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, and the surrounding areas. I love getting to be a part of such an important day for my couples. From the dress to the flowers, to the moment you say “I do” I’ll be there capturing it all. Most days you’ll find me with my nose in a book cuddling my schnauzer, Loki.
Let’s be real, there are tons of photographers out there that take gorgeous photos. But you don’t want just any photographer. You want one that’s not only flexible but one that makes you feel comfortable.
I love to capture weddings in a way that lets couples relax and live in the moment. I’m committed as a wedding photographer for my couples. That’s why I only photograph weddings. I want to give all my couples my full attention.
Hiring your wedding vendors for this special day is a big decision. Especially when it comes to photography because your photos will still be there after the flowers have wilted and the cake is a distant memory.
Wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful. That’s why I try to help my couples wade through it all. I don’t just click the shutter on a camera. I love to help with timelines so your day can go as smoothly as possible.

You’re going to put so much into planning your wedding that you know you want someone who can capture it perfectly. After you inquire I’ll send over my investment guide for you to look over. Then we’ll have a timeline planning call to make sure we’re the perfect fit for each other.
We’re a perfect fit! Now what? Let’s get that date locked in. Weddings are typically booked about 9-12 months before the date. I’ll send a custom proposal your way and once you pay the retainer you can check one more item on your wedding planning list because you’ve made it official. Let’s get this party started! ??
It’s time for your engagement session. Or what I like to call the getting to know you session. This time is all about getting to know each other and getting comfortable before the big day. The photos are just an extra added bonus. Not sure what to wear or what location you want? That’s ok! I’ll help with all that and more.
It’s your wedding day! Enjoy your time with all your family and friends while I photograph all the important moments as well as the unexpected candid ones. No need to stress over photos because I’ve got this with the timeline we made together in one hand and a camera in the other.
It’s time to look back on your wedding day! You’ll receive the photos within 6 weeks of your wedding day. The photos will be delivered via an online gallery where you can download and share your heart’s content. Soon after we’ll meet up (in person or via video call) for your album design session where we will design your perfect album together.

I know planning a wedding can be stressful and it’s like you’ve entered an entirely different world. How many hours of coverage do you need? Why have a second photographer? There are so many decisions to make. That’s why I only offer two packages that are the most popular chosen by couples.

Highlight Films
The way I make highlight films is a little unique. I film clips while I’m photographing your wedding day. Your photos and film will all be from the same point of view allowing them to complement each other while telling the full story of your wedding day. Ready to chat about your wedding day? Let’s start with a timeline planning call to make sure we’re a perfect fit. It’s just a 20-30 minute call because I know your time is valuable. Click below to set up a call!

Once we’re done with our call I’ll send over the timeline we made, a basic contract for you to look over, and an outline of any other questions you had. I’ll also put your day “on hold” for 3 days for you to talk it over without having to worry about losing your day.

Once you’re ready to book all you need is to sign a contract online and pay the retainer. That’s it! You’re booked.
Frequently Asked Questions
Of course. I only take out the photos you don’t want. This includes things like blinking, blurry, duplicates, and super unflattering photos. For weddings, I typically deliver about 50-100 photos per hour of coverage. But there is no cap on photos. RAW (unedited) photos are also not delivered. You hired me for my style and I hope that you trust that I will send you all the good ones.
It takes up to 6 weeks to deliver your photos. That being said, my goal is to get your photos back to you in a timely manner. I know you’re excited to see the photos from your wedding so I do my best to make sure the wait isn’t too long.
A highlight film is just a video showing the highlights of your wedding. The video is filmed by one of the photographers so that helps keep your film cohesive with your photos. Films take longer to edit than photos. You can expect to receive your film in 8-10 weeks.
Yes, I do! I have a wedding package designed just for travel.
Awesome question! Just let me know you want to book and I can send you a contract and invoice so that you can look it over before signing. Once you are ready to love forward I just need a signed contract and a $500 retainer. If you’d like you can set up a payment plan or just make the final payment 30 days before the wedding.
If you’d like to book just let me know. All you need is the retainer and agreement to get the party started.
