Hey there! I’m Mariko ((That’s pronounced Mah-Re-Ko. Emphasis on the “Mah”. Like Mario with a K!). I’m a Baton Rouge wedding photographer for the couple that wants not only beautiful photos but an experience to match.
I’m just someone who was always artsy but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life. I was convinced I was bound to be a scientist. I was all about the marine biology life. But then I realized that being creative made me the happiest.
I genuinely can’t believe that I get invited to be a part of such a huge life event in my couple’s lives. I’m so honored and grateful.
But why weddings? The answer’s easy. Love, happiness, celebration, and cake. Because who doesn’t love cake? (Ok, my husband doesn’t love cake. But that just means more for everyone else.) I help make sure this all-important day is one you can look back on and remember. I’m a hopeless romantic with a serious love for a good rom-com. Being a part of one of the big milestones in a couple’s life is such an amazing feeling.
How will you tell those stories to your children and grandchildren?
You deserve to have those memories captured in beautiful, vibrant photos that show the love and excitement you felt that day. Now imagine your sitting with your future spouse and telling the story behind each photo:
We’re going to make all this happen. We’ll spend time creating a plan for your photos so that we don’t miss those all-important moments.
No matter what the wedding day throws at us, you can relax – knowing I’m flexible enough to adjust on the spot without missing a beat.
You don’t have to worry about your wedding photography disappointing you because I’ve got you covered.
So we might be friends if you love Star Wars and Harry Potter (I’m a Ravenclaw). We’ll totally get along is you love The Office (raise your hand if you ugly cried at Jim and Pam’s wedding). We can definitely be besties if you have a love for superheroes (I’m Team Marvel but I won’t hold it against you if you’re Team DC), sci-fi, and even a princess or two.
I have a weakness for icees/slushees (I’m all about that frozen drink life) and Japanese food. I’m also obsessed with musicals. You’ll most likely find me on the couch with a warm blanket and a book. Especially on rainy days.
My mission is for you to have photos so you can relive your wedding day and experience the love and joy you felt that day! I can’t wait to make that happen for you, friend. I want to make sure that all the moments you treasure are captured for you to look back on as the years pass.
let’s get started
