What To Wear To Your Newborn Session | Posed Newborn Photographer In Baton Rouge

As a posed newborn photographer in Baton Rouge, one of the many questions I get asked by my newborn clients is what should they wear for parent and sibling photos. I understand that it can be stressful. You want your photos to look as good as possible. Your newborn will only be this little for a short period of time and you don’t want to look back at your photos and think you should have made a different choice. In today’s blog post I wanted to talk about what to wear and show a few examples.

My biggest piece of advice is to keep it simple. You don’t want to distract from your baby. So I usually recommend a simple t-shirt, short sleeved shirt, or tank. Keep the colors neutral and avoid anything bright or distracting. Avoid anything with any writing, large logos, and bright distracting prints. These all draw the eye away from you and baby.

Below I’ve included a few examples of what parents have worn for their photos with their newborns. The parent photos  below all illustrate, the advice I gave them perfectly. Their photos are able to focus on their love and  connection with their new little baby. I hope these photos help hive you an idea of what looks best in newborn photos.

But let’s not forget about sibling photos. Pretty much the same advice goes so siblings as well. Keep it simple with neutral colors.
