When Should I Book My Newborn Session? | Traditional Posed Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer
There are a million things to think of before your new baby arrives. But something that can be looked over is booking a newborn session. As a Traditional Posed Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer, I know that with all the excitement of your new baby, you can easily forget to book your session.
So when should you book your newborn session? The simple answer is while you’re still pregnant. Ideally your second or third trimester. I know this may seem way too early, but it really isn’t. Booking your session early ensure you get the newborn photographer you have had your eye on for your baby’s photos. Lots of newborn photographers book weeks or even months in advance. So once you’re home with you new little one you may contact the photographer you love only to find out they have no availability. Then what will you do?
Another good reason to book your newborn session early is that babies are only super sleepy and willing to pose in those adorable poses for so long. This is usually in the first two weeks. Some babies will still be in a deep sleep and willing to pose at 3 or even 4 weeks, but the chances of that are less likely. So trying to find a photographer you love who is available in that time frame can be difficult.
Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t have your session later. Like I said before, some older babies will sleep and pose like a dream. Even if they don’t, most babies are willing to wrapped up and put in various props. Sometimes life happens and you just can’t schedule your session earlier. But you still deserve to have beautiful photos of your little one if you want. So don’t think you can’t have a newborn session at all after your baby older thantwo weeks old.
I hope this helped you figure out the best time to book your newborn session.
